In the end Dawson proved to be too much for the Lady Royals as they took the third and final set 25-20 and with it the match 3 sets to 0.
Head Coach Brigitte Greywater said, "We need to learn how to win with this group. We were very flat and lacked spirit. Which was disappointing as this was our conference opener. We need to find that fire for success to help carry us the rest of the season. We have 4 games this weekend to get it right against some very talented teams."
The Royals head to Norfolk, NE for a weekend of games hosted by Northeast Community College. It all starts Friday morning when LRSC takes on the #15 ranked team in the nation Northeast at 11am followed by Iowa Lakes at 3pm. Then Saturday it is an early morning start as they square off with Southeast at 9am and Central at 11am.
