Women's Hockey Signs Payton Durand for 25-26 Season
Lake Region Women's Hockey adds offensive talent to 2025-2026 roster. Payton Durand, a Winnipeg native, will be attending Lake Region State College this coming fall to continue her education and playing career.
Durand is a five sport athlete, which requires a ton of her time, and a great deal of dedication. Her passions are hockey and softball. She is also an avid skier, and speaks two different languages.
"Payton is extremely talented, and creative in the offensive zone. She will be an offensive rock for our team next year. I look forward to her success individually, and she can elevate a roster of already talented hockey players to the next level. She's a perfect fit." Coach Diseth shared.
Durand currently plays Division 1 in the Manitoba Womens High School Hockey League for the CJS Olympiens. Payton is averaging 1.71/pts a game, and is the Olympiens leading point scorer.
"I'm super excited to have the opportunity to continue playing my two favorite sports next fall." Payton shared.
Durand will also be a focal player for the Royals softball team in the spring.
Welcome to the Lake Region Payton!
