Lake Region's Avery Kamelchuk Earns Spot on Mon-Dak All Sportsmanship Team
Sophomore infielder Avery Kamelchuk has been honored with a place on the Mon-Dak Athletic Conference All Sportsmanship Team for the 2025 season, recognizing her outstanding character, leadership, and respect for the game as a member of the Lake Region State College Royals softball team.
Kamelchuk, who wears No. 18 for the Royals, is a 5-foot-9 right-handed hitter and thrower originally from Colinton, Alberta. A graduate of Edwin Parr Composite High School, she brought both talent and integrity to the field this season, becoming a key contributor to the Royals' infield unit.
On the stat sheet, Kamelchuk had an impressive 21 RBIs and posted a solid .362 on-base percentage, demonstrating her consistency and ability to produce in clutch moments. Off the field, she earned the respect of teammates, opponents, and coaches alike with her positive attitude and sportsmanship.
As a sophomore, Kamelchuk has been a leader by example for the Royals, helping foster a culture of support, effort, and accountability. Kamelchuk's recognition underscores not only her contributions on the field, but also her role in building a strong and respectful team culture at Lake Region.
