Lake Region State College Women's Hockey Welcomes Forward Nya Major to 2025–26 Roster
The Lake Region State College women's hockey program is excited to announce the addition of Nya Major, a 5-foot-10 forward from Woodland Park, Colorado, who will join the Royals for the 2025–26 season.
Major brings six years of playing experience and a deep passion for the game to Devils Lake. Known for her versatility, she has contributed at both forward and defense throughout her career, embracing the intensity of hockey and the camaraderie it builds.
"Hockey has become one of the biggest passions in my life," Major shared. "The speed, the energy, and the friendships I've built along the way are what keep me coming back to the game. I'm beyond excited to be part of this school, this community, and this team."
Off the ice, Nya is just as focused. She plans to pursue a degree in biology with a minor in forensic science, showcasing her strong academic drive and curiosity.
Head Coach Sawyer Diseth praised Major's work ethic and character, noting the impact she'll have both on and off the ice: "Her character and work ethic are outstanding — she shows up ready to work and brings a great attitude every day. She'll be a great addition to our roster and our school community this upcoming season."
