Lake Region State College Women’s Hockey Signs ND Local

Ella Holkesvig is excited to announce that she has signed to play women’s hockey on the inaugural team for Lake Region State College Royals. She is graduating from Hatton, ND, and has played for Northwood IceStorm, Grafton/Park River North Stars, and Langdon Blades.  Her senior year, she has been double rostered playing Jr. Gold for the Northwood Ice Storm and High School girls for the Langdon Blades. Ella finished the season with a game winning goal to win a state championship.  She is a two-time, all-state player and will be playing with Team North Dakota at the America’s Showcase in St. Louis this spring. 

Ella will add a ton of speed, hockey IQ, work ethic to the forward lines. Ella posted 23 points in 17 games and tallied 16 goals this past season. “Ella is going to do big things here at Lake Region. She has a knack for scoring goals and is phenomenal in the offensive zone. She understands her positioning in the D-zone and utilizes her speed to create opportunities for herself and her teammates. She is going to contribute a ton to our program” Kraft stated. Welcome Ella!
