Royals To Host Annual Sleep Inn Slamfest This Weekend

Lake Region State College along with our sponsor the Sleep Inn of Devils Lake, is proud to host the annual Sleep Inn Slamfest Volleyball Tournament this weekend.

The eight team tournament is comprised of teams from the MonDak Conference and the area. Games will begin Friday, in the Lake Region State College Gymnasium at 1pm and then move to the Devils Lake Sportscenter at 6pm to finish out the night. Play will then resume Saturday morning at 9am at the Sportscenter.

Athletic Director Danny Mertens said, "We are excited to host this tournament again after taking a year off. This is a great way for us to bring quality teams and games for our fans to see, while also helping out local businesses."

"This is going to be a great two day event for us as a team," Head Coach Steve Wadell said, "We are going to be able to test ourselves with good competition. It should be a fun weekend."

Fans will be allowed at the games and will be asked to sit up on the top row of the sportscenter bleachers. Cost will be $10 for Adults, $5 for Students and kids K and under will be free.
