Here is what Head Coach Steve Waddell had to say about the Royal's regular season play: "This team has battled through a ton of adversity; we suffered many injuries throughout the season, but to an outside observer, it probably didn't appear that way. This is an extremely talented team from top to bottom, I am so proud to have had the opportunity to work with this team throughout the year. Our program has preached a team-first mentality from the day that I started coaching the Royals, but this team embraced and lived that phrase from the minute we came together in early August. The sophomores on our roster set the ton early for this group, and they helped to inspire the incoming players and taught them the culture early on; that culture has been celebrated throughout the season, and it has been such an honor to watch this team compete together, laugh together, and become a family. I am excited to see what we can do in the Regional Tournament. Regardless of what the future holds for this team, I am incredibly proud of each and every one of them and the mark that they have made on the volleyball program and Lake Region State College as a whole."
The Royals enter the Region XIII Tournament as the number 2 seed in the East behind NDSCS and will face the winner of Dawson Community College and Dakota College at Bottineau on Saturday, November 1st at 11:00 AM at NDSCS.
